Jewelry
Taxila Museum has an impressive collection of gold and silver jewelry, dating from 3rd century BCE to 1st century CE. It is an exquisite collection of gold and silver jewelry with local, Indic and Greco-Roman affinities. Among the displayed pieces there are ear pendants of various shapes, necklaces, girdles, body chains, belts, amulets, pendants, bangles, bracelets, torques, anklets and finger rings. A mannequin wearing replica jewelry helps to visually reconstruct the ancient fashion and aesthetics prevalent in Gandhara.
